Jere is a litigation lawyer of repute and has appeared before the superior Courts of Zambia in leading and reported cases (Supreme Court and Constitutional Court). Jere is also a practicing Arbitrator and Mediator in Zambia specializing mainly in commercial disputes. He is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and also past Honorary Secretary of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – Zambia Branch. He has appeared before various Arbitration Tribunals including international cases at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Jere has recorded a number of successes in mediating commercial disputes in Zambia and is a go-to practitioner. He has handled cases in mining, energy, construction, banking, real estate and sports law. He is Board Member of the National Olympics Committee of Zambia and Chairman of the Legal and Ethics Commission. Jere is non-executive director in a number of private companies. He also served as Commissioner appointed by the Zambian President to draft the country’s new Constitution alongside other prominent personalities. He is a holder of law degree from the University of Zambia and has also earned two Masters Degree (Human Rights Law from University of Lusaka) and (Masters in Intellectual Property) jointly awarded by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Africa University of Zimbabwe.
